When we decided we were going to get our bike licences we initially decided to do a Direct Access style course over a week with our tests at the end of the week. We arranged a meeting with Scotriders in Dundee to discuss lessons and tests. After a discussion with Chief Instructor Alan it was decided that doing the Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) first and getting a bike to run around on before taking further lessons and attempting the tests was a better course of action. For years I’ve talked about passing my test and getting a bike, in fact it’s something I’ve been talking about since childhood but never really fulfilled. Me and Debs live in a beautiful part of Scotland, with fantastic roads right on our doorstep so we see and hear bikes going past daily. We recently visited Purnell’s Bistro in Birmingham (separate post to follow) and after the meal we both agreed that it was definitely one of the best dining experiences we had had. On the journey back to Scotland we were discussing our top restaurants and ones we would love to visit, at which point we wondered why we have never been to the Witchery in Edinburgh. Last month, when I put my first post up, I was in Holland with work.
