When we decided we were going to get our bike licences we initially decided to do a Direct Access style course over a week with our tests at the end of the week. We arranged a meeting with Scotriders in Dundee to discuss lessons and tests. After a discussion with Chief Instructor Alan it was decided that doing the Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) first and getting a bike to run around on before taking further lessons and attempting the tests was a better course of action.
After a recommendation from Alan at Scotriders we approached Ecosse Motorcycles in Dundee to see what 125cc bikes they had that would be suitable for us. There was a Honda CBF125 up in the Aberdeen Dealership that was a few years old and ideal for what we were looking for. It wasnt in ‘pristine’ condition but it wasn’t a ‘plum’ either. Scott the salesman arranged for the bike to be brought down from Aberdeen to Dundee for us to look at and we bought it as soon as we saw it. Martin, the owner of Ecosse Motorcycles personally delivered it to our house for us (free of charge) which we were very impressed with.
We were very impressed with the staff at Ecosse Motorcycles and look forward to dealing with them again in the future. They are very professional and friendly.
We now have our CBT booked and can’t wait to get out on it!
